United States · Tax year 2026

Close payroll before lunch.

One product for the employer, the employee, the accountant, and the operator. Each one gets a workspace built for that job, so the next screen is always close.

Gusto keeps this light. Rippling and ADP bury it. QHRM puts the catalogues and the locks on their own desks, with add, edit, and remove on every list.

Employer

Departments, sites, schedules, earnings, deductions, holidays, benefits, tax accounts, roles, banks, and pay locks.

Employee

Edit your profile, split direct deposit across accounts, and send, change, or cancel time off.

Accountant

Firm staff, services, engagements, review rules, and the lock before a return transmits.

Platform

Operators, feature flags, and what each headcount plan is allowed to include.

How a run works

Five steps, then a pay date.

  1. 01

    Hours land

A manager approves time, or an exempt salary drops in on the schedule.

  2. 02

    Gross is built

Regular pay, overtime at one and a half after 40 hours, and reimbursements kept out of wages.

  3. 03

    Withholding

W-4 federal tax, the work state, Social Security, Medicare, then a pre-tax 401(k) and any garnishment.

  4. 04

    Two amounts of money

The software subscription is not the cash that pays people and the tax agencies.

  5. 05

    Filings follow

Deposits, Form 941, Form 940, state returns, W-2, and 1099-NEC.

Payment

Two kinds of money. Never one balance.

You pay QHRM

Subscription

Priced by headcount, monthly or yearly. The smallest plan that fits the company is chosen for you. This pays for the software.

Payroll cash

Gross wages, reimbursements, and employer taxes leave the company bank. They land as net pay, tax deposits, 401(k), or a garnishment. They are not the subscription.
